How to record live vs implementing clients

I'm currently reorganising the whole system and the way we use it. I'm stuck on one very fundamental thing. What client types to use and where to identify that a client is live or implementing.

It's important for us to see clearly:

  1. Size of clients - Enterprise, medium, small
  2. Live or implementing
  3. Ideally to then view a list of clients that are existing clients, but implementing something new

I can see multiple ways of doing this, but I'm not sure which one makes most sense.

I could use 6 client types: Enterprise, Enterprise (implementing), Medium, Medium (implementing), Small, Small (implementing) - the benefit of this is that we can then automatically assign a Success Cycle based on the classification.
